Duties:
The Lyman Beecher Brooks Library (Media Resource Center in the Access Services Department) is hiring work-study students for the spring semester. Job duties include, but are not limited to: assisting student with media projects, creating media presentations, assisting with special media productions, data entry, monitoring the Media Resource Center and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants must prove they have been awarded work-study for the Spring 2017 semester. Additionally, students must be proficient with media based software such as: Adobe Creative Cloud, PROTOOLS, Reason, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere. Students should also be proficient with cameras, Apple and Dell products, E-readers, Zeutschel book copier, Google Drive and Microsoft office. The preferred candidate will have great customer service skills in a diverse environment, possess sound judgement, and be self-motivated, a technology background, and a solid understanding of media production. Students must exhibit a mature and pleasant attitude. Must be willing to learn and must be articulate, self-assured, and student must be ambitious. Excellent oral and writing skills. **Physical requirements: Applicants must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a consistent basis and have the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, push, pull and maintain balance.
