Duties:
Dr. Woltz's Ecology Research Lab at Norfolk State University is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research and teaching lab projects. Key responsibilities: Assist in research projects, including - making field equipment; collecting, entering, and analyzing data; searching for relevant scientific literature; brainstorming and trouble-shooting. Assist in teaching projects, including - helping manage and organize lab spaces and contributing to student lab projects. Much of the data collection will occur outdoors. Must be comfortable working outdoors and walking in dense vegetation.
Qualifications:
Biology majors in junior or senior year preferred but other CSET majors welcome to apply. Students must be reliable, pay attention to detail, and able to follow written and verbal instructions exactly. Must be awarded work-study for the fall 2025 term.
