Duties:
• Sorts materials provide shelf reading, and perform shelving • Assists library staff with conducting library tours • Provides basic research consultations to students • Troubleshoot computer problems, and assist with library projects • Creates, edit and design library promotional materials, videos and digital displays • Assists with social media content • Assists patron with general library information • Performs other library related duties in Circulation, Media, and Archives assigned.
Qualifications:

Applicants must be mature and able to work independently and with minimum supervision. Punctuality and dependability are necessary. Additional qualifications include: • A positive attitude • Excellent customer service skills • Attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Manual dexterity • Computer literacy • Ability to read and understand bibliographic records, citations, and library call numbers • Ability to stand, push a book cart, and reach high or low shelves • Ability to work independently in a busy customer service environment •

 

Students must be available for work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Must be awarded work-study for the spring 2026 term. 

 Interest in librarianship and/or careers in education preferred but not required.
