Duties:
The Lyman Beecher Brooks Library (Access Services - Circulation/Reserve Department) is hiring work-study students for the fall 2018 semester. Job duties include, but are not limited to, organizing and shelving library items; assisting patrons with the selection and/or location of books, DVD’s, and other library items; monitoring the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library; filing documents; assisting patrons with the use of copiers, scanners, and aisle saver carriages; taking inventory; and assisting with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
**Applicants must prove that they’ve been awarded work-study for the fall 2018 semester. Additionally, applicants must be able to work independently; pay a high level of attention to detail; and maintain confidentiality. The preferred candidate will have great customer service skills working in a diverse environment, possess sound judgement, and be self-motivated. **Physical requirements: Applicants must be able to left up to 20 pounds on a consistent basis and have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, push, pull, and maintain balance.
