Duties:
Under the guidance of Dr. Haines and/or Ms. Simmons, perform all assigned tasks. Set up and maintain aquaria containing animals for the zoology courses. Feed animals, check water quality, prepare new water for filling tanks and dispose of/take down tanks that are no longer needed. This primarily involves aquatic organisms like sponges, clams, jellyfish, sea anemones, worms, and fish. An online training module on animal care will be provided and must be completed first. The hours to be worked can be selected to fit the student's schedule but MUST be kept regularly.
Qualifications:
Biology or Chemistry majors preferred. Priority given to individuals who previously have taken Zoology lab. MUST be dependable. All majors may apply. Must already be awarded work-study for the current term.
