Duties:
Under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager, the student will perform assigned tasks, including: Assist with teaching lab materials by preparing, setting-up, disassembling, and maintaining cleanliness of teaching labs. Prepare solutions, stains, reagents and media according to written instructions. Perform animal husbandry and plant care. Collect organismal samples to include microbes, plants and animals. Responsible for cleaning teaching laboratory glassware. Maintaining assigned work area in a clean and orderly condition. Maintain overall laboratory safety. Assist with opening and distributing packages.
Qualifications:
Biology or Chemistry Majors preferred. Must be awarded Work-Study for the Spring 2022 term. Students must be punctual, dependable, and able to follow written and verbal directions.
