Duties:
The student will perform assigned tasks for the projects going on in the research lab and teaching labs. This will include, preparing samples, setting-up experiment, literature review, data analysis, and writing reports and papers. Have opportunity to collect organismal samples, including microbes, plants and animals. In addition, get experience to use DNA kits and PCR for genomic DNA sequencing from soil and plants. Also, assist for cleaning laboratory glassware, setting up new equipment, grading tests and assignments from courses, inserting data in computer, cleaning data, etc.
Qualifications:
Prefer Juniors and Seniors, Biology Major. But Biology non-majors and CSET students are welcome to apply. Must be awarded work-study for the Fall 2024 term
